PAAMS Conference 2021

The University of Salamanca in collaboration with BISITE Research Group (bisite.usal.es) offers 30 grants/awards to doctoral and young doctors both to the event itself (including Workshops and Special Sessions) and to the parallel Co-located events.

Call Rules

• Number: 30 grants/awards are offered.
• Amount: the funds will cover accommodation from 6th to 8th, October 2021 (check-in 5th October and check-out 8th October). The accommodation will be in a residence or hotel. Each grant recipient shall receive a diploma.

• Making the grant/award request: Send an e-mail to info@paams.net with the following information:
  • Subject: GRANT PAAMS & Co-located events 2021
  • Text Body: First name, Last name, Affiliation, indicate whether you are a doctor or doctoral student.
  • Attach a PDF file with the following information:
    • Last name
    • First Name
    • National Identity Number (or passport)
    • Postal address, including Post Code, Telephone (mobile if possible), email and URL.
    • University / Centre
    • Research group
    • Thesis director
    • Thesis title (presented or in – tentative – development)
    • Titles and authors of articles sent to PAAMS 2021 (including Workshops and Special Sessions - Please indicate the name of the Workshop/Special Session for each article)
    • Titles of articles accepted by PAAMS 2021 (including Workshops and Special Sessions - Please indicate the name of the Workshop/Special Session for each article).
    • Titles and authors of articles sent to the collocated events (Please indicate the name of the Colocated Event for each article)
    • Titles of articles accepted by the collocated events (Please indicate the name of the Colocated Event for each article)
    • Other information. Include information considered relevant for supporting the grant/award request in terms of evaluation criteria described below.
• Dates: The requests must be submitted between the 1st and 4th June 2021. Applicants will receive an email confirming receipt of the request. Early-May applicants will be informed of the results of their request.

Evaluation

• Evaluation Panel: The evaluation will be carried out by a committee.
• Requirements: Applicants should be registered for the PAAMS 2021 or collocated events event in which they have publications accepted.
• Evaluation Criteria:
  • The quality of the contribution/s shall be taken into account and, as such, the evaluation of the article reviewers shall be used for assessment purposes.
  • Every attempt shall be made to distribute the grants/awards evenly among institutions.
  • 25% of the grants/awards shall be reserved for those research groups with a high number of presentations both in PAAMS 2021 (including Workshops and Special Sessions) and the collocated events.
  • 25% of the grants will be reserved for doctoral students with works of high quality and who belong to research groups with limited funding.
